Whether you’re starting your lifesaving journey or progressing into advanced operational roles, our programs are delivered by experienced instructors and aligned with Life Saving Victoria standards.

F.A.Q's
- Search ‘Member Training LSV’ into google
- Once navigated to member training it will ask you for your general LSV login details
- Once logged in, your member training should automatically be on the ‘Search Courses’ tab
- On this Tab you have the option of filtering the courses, you can filter it by club or by award, depending on what course you are looking for.
- Once You find the course you want to enrol in, simply click enrol and fill out all necessary details
NOTE: You may not be eligible for certain courses depending on your qualifications or age, if it is saying that you are not eligible, despite you completing the necessary qualifications, please contact either Rose or Zoe.
Yes, for most courses eLearning is attached to the program, It’s important that this is completed before a course begins.
- Login to Member Training
- Once logged in, your page should appear with five tabs, one of which is named ‘Enrolled Courses’
- This tab should show you each course you have enrolled in and the elearning attached to it.
- Login to Member Training and click the ‘Skills maintenance’ tab.
- There will be a ‘complete elearning’ tab and a ‘book a practical’ tab. Underneath the elearning tab, you can enrol in all the courses you wish to requalify, in which it will give you a series of learning tasks to complete before the practical sessions.
Yes, as long as you remain registered as a part of LSV, you are able to enrol in any course at any location/club.
You need 16 hours per year to qualify for
Lifesaving Sports. Active Reserves need 8 hours.
Hours reset every season.
Yes, once you gain your Advanced resuscitation techniques and first aid certificate, you can utilise this in any of your workplaces. It must be requalified every year and retrained every three years, meaning that you must partake in a course for the qualification rather than a requal.
Course Prerequisites
- Candidates must be at least 13 when partaking in SRC
- Have moderate swimming skills.
- Candidates be at least 15 when partaking in this award
- Moderate to strong swimming skills.
- It is not required for them to have completed their SRC prior to this course.
- Candidates must have their Bronze Medallion.
- Candidates must have their Bronze Medallion.
- Candidates must be at least 17 years old
- Must have their Bronze Medallion and IRB crew certificate
- They must also have a Victorian marine License
- Must be at least 17 years old
- Hold a current Bronze Medallion and one other current patrolling award (ART/FA or IRB crew)
